Supported by the Foundation for Youth Music, the award winning Get It Loud In Libraries team are bringing one of their Music Industry Camps to Widnes. Get it Loud In Libraries have brought artists including Jorja Smith, Sam Fender, Kate Tempest, Adele, Florence and The Machine, Fontaines DC and Idles to libraries around the UK and they’re back to give more young people an insight into getting started in the music industry, and a role in producing a gig with band The Lounge Society.
This free event is strictly limited to a maximum of 8 young people aged 13 – 17, who will spend the week working with musicians, performers, songwriters and music professionals to develop their own songs and music, and learn new musical skills. Participants will gain formal accreditation in the form of Arts Award at Bronze Level. Participants will be expected to complete up to 6 hours work toward this award in their own time outside the sessions
Important: Places are strictly limited – if you book a place and can not take up your place please cancel your booking BEFORE 6th June, this is so your place can be offered to someone on the waiting list. Participants must be able to commit to attending all four days of the camp. Participants should arrive promptly at the library for a 10.30 am start. Drinks and snacks will be provided but participants should bring their own lunch.
