Quince and Apple Festival, including the Museum of the Moon
This popular event will run from 11:00am – 7:00pm on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October, providing an opportunity to celebrate autumn and to purchase fruit and vegetables from across our 42 acre site. This annual event celebrates the National Collection of Tree Quince at Norton Priory.
A range of stall holders and activities will be taking place on-site, and we’re extending our opening hours at the museum into the evening to enable visitors to see the incredible Museum of the Moon installation as the sun sets and darkness falls in the museum atrium.
The Museum of the Moon installation is part of ‘Celebrate Halton’, Halton’s Borough of Culture celebrations.
Storyteller Rogan Mills will be on hand in the afternoon to entertain children with stories, and there will be the usual range of quince and apples for sale.
Please note, after 5:00 pm access to the priory ruins and the woodland behind the museum will be closed, although the undercroft and museum galleries will remain open until 7:00 pm.
We strongly recommend pre-booking tickets for this event in advance. Tickets are available now via Art Tickets.
