Gav Cross, Storyteller & weaver of tales, brings to life the captivating children’s stories of Oscar Wilde and weaves them into retellings of Traditional Tales, perfect for the setting of the magical woodland theatre space at Norton Priory. Expect to laugh, to cry, to shout out, to join in and listen together to these stories we treasure.
There are two completely different story shows for all the family to chose from.
This ticket is valid for 2 storytimes: Start at 10 am – 11am with ‘The Happy Prince’ by Oscar Wilde & Other Tales from The Forest and includes a break of 45 mins to explore the beautiful and historical grounds and Woodlands at Norton Priory. The second half starts at 11.45 am -12.45 pm and includes ‘The Selfish Giant’ by Oscar Wilde & Other Tales from the Forest. Morning ticket holders can remain onsite until 1.15 pm (perfect for a post-show picnic lunch!).
This ticket is valid for 2 storytimes: Start at 1.30pm – 2.30pm with ‘The Happy Prince’ by Oscar Wilde & Other Tales from The Forest and includes a break of 45 mins to explore the beautiful and historical grounds and Woodlands at Norton Priory. Second Half starts at 3.15-4.15pm and includes ‘The Selfish Giant’ by Oscar Wilde & Other Tales from the Forest. Afternoon ticket holders can remain onsite until 5pm when the site will close.

This is an outdoor performance. There is no formal seating and you are encouraged to bring fold up chairs, cushions, rugs or picnic blankets to make your experience more comfortable.
